Meet Molly
Molly Carmody is a Senior Associate at Berlin Melzer Law and an experienced family law attorney who has worked alongside Rebecca Melzer since 2019. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, bringing a thoughtful, practical, and compassionate approach to matters involving divorce, parenting issues, financial disputes, and other complex family transitions.
Before joining the firm Molly gained experience at two other prominent Chicago family law firms. She also served as an attorney with the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian. Her work with the Public Guardian provided her with significant experience involving DCFS and child-related issues and continues to inform her approach to cases involving children and families.
Molly earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and has been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers as a Rising Star multiple times. She is also active in the legal and broader community, including service with the Illinois State Bar Association and involvement with Between Friends, an organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors. Molly lives in the Chicagoland area with her fiancé and dog and enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new places.
